Agroecology & Nature Restoration: A Garden for Everyone
Our Vision: Rooting Inclusion in Sustainability
The Agroecology and Nature Restoration in the European Green Deal project is an Erasmus + collaboration among Spain, Portugal, and Italy. While the overarching goal is to fight climate change and regenerate the soil, at TRENTINPLUSEUROPE, we believe that a sustainable future is only possible if it is accessible to everyone. Through our video, Agroecology Project!, we offer an in depth look at how these European policies are translated into local action, so if you are interested, just check out the video below!
"In the garden, we don't just grow plants, we grow a community where every individual, regardless of their background or ability, has a place at the table."
The TRENTINPLUSEUROPE’s Focus: The Garden That Welcomes ALL!
While the project involves high level strategies and international video pills, our local heart beats in the soil of the agroecological garden.
Breaking Barriers in the Field
Our activities focused on including young people aged 13 / 30 with fewer opportunities, specifically focusing on individuals seeking social integration. By adapting our training program, we ensured that:
Agroecology is Accessible - We funded dedicated site improvements and infrastructure to eliminate physical barriers, ensuring that individuals with disabilities can navigate the field safely and participate in every activity with total independence.
Empowerment through Action - Participants didn't just watch, they led. From soil preparation to planting, our activities were designed to build interpersonal skills and professional environmental knowledge.
A Space for Integration - The garden serves as a meeting place where "marginalized" is a term left at the gate, replaced by "engaged citizen".
