Agroecology and Nature Restoration
On January 23, 2025, the project consortium and young participants gathered in the rural community of Chaves, Portugal, for a Learning, Teaching, Training Activity (LTTA). This hands on event served as a key milestone to share knowledge and empower the next generation to cultivate a more sustainable future.
What is the Project? Agroecology and Nature Restoration in the European Green Deal is a 12-month initiative running from September 1, 2024, to August 31, 2025. The project's main objectives are to identify effective strategies for climate change adaptation and soil protection, and to create local agroecological gardens that promote sustainable food production aligned with the Farm to Fork Strategy.
Crucially, the project is dedicated to promoting a highly inclusive culture. It emphasizes the active participation and visibility of kids and young people with disabilities within these green initiatives. By creating accessible, experiential learning spaces, the project ensures that youth with disabilities can strengthen their interpersonal abilities, engage with their communities, and participate equally in shaping a greener world.
